This is an
advertisement for an immediate opening for a Senior
Physician- Psychiatrist- SES position located at prisons
throughout the state.
Annual Salary
Range: $183,000.22- 188,000.02
Qualifications:
Licensure as a Physician (FL Statue 458) or Licensure as an
Osteopathic Physician (FL Statue 459) with specialty training in
psychiatry and two years of post-licensure professional
experience; or a current public psychiatry certificate issued by
the Florida Board of Medical Examiners (FL Statue 458.3165).
Certification by a recognized board in a medical specialty area
can substitute for the required experience.
Job Description:
This is work providing diagnoses, treatments, and helping to
prevent diseases and injuries that commonly occur in the general
population. Some positions in this occupation may be
responsible for coordinating work and supervising employees

The Department of
Psychiatry at the University of Florida is recruiting for a
Tenure or Non-tenure track, full-time Physician in Addiction
Medicine. This position serves a critical role in the Department
of Psychiatry by providing outpatient, inpatient, and
residential treatment for those suffering from addictive
disorders, including chronic pain and impaired professionals
from around the United States. This faculty member will help in
new program development in our Chronic Pain and Florida Recovery
Center (FRC) services, clinical and educational leadership for
our Addictions Unit at Shands @ Vista, the Department of
Psychiatry within Shands @ UF, the Shands Behavioral Health
Network and Springhill. Duties will include inpatient and
residential evaluation and treatment of complex pain and/or
addiction patients admitted to the Florida Recover Center and
Shands at Vista. You will serve important role teaching College
of Medicine students, fellows in UF house staff as part of the
education mission. Research and other scholarly activities are a
major part of the Division and College of Medicine. The
successful applicant will have a track record of clinical
excellence, clinical leadership, new program development skills,
research and publications.
Applicants should be Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine or
Addiction Psychiatry and be Board Certified in Psychiatry or
another Medical discipline. Florida license is required as well
as fellowship training, education, research and prevention
activities related to addiction or pain medicine.

The University of
Central Florida Health Services is currently seeking two full
time Psychiatrists (Position # 40132 and Position #41452).
UCF is a metropolitan research university located in Orlando,
Florida. Established in 1963, the university is the 3rd largest
university in the nation. UCF and its 12 colleges, provide
opportunities to over 53,000 students, offering 200 bachelors
and masters degrees and two dozen doctoral programs. Students
come from all 50 states and 140 countries. In 2007, UCF opened
its on campus football stadium and its basketball arena. In
2008, UCF became the first U.S. medical school to offer full,
four-year scholarships to an entire class.
Minimum Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in the
State of Florida plus completion of necessary internship, three
years of psychiatric residency and one year of post residency in
psychiatry.
Preferences: The individual hired for this position will provide
outpatient services to the students of the University of Central
Florida. Must be Board Certified and/or Board Eligible. Must
have Florida medical license by the time of hire and a
demonstrated record of clinical excellence in a similar
outpatient setting.
