Two Florida RFMs win Area 5 Poster competition

at the Annual APA meeting in San Diego

Each year, Area 5 awards a select few residents and fellows who participate in the poster competition at the APA Annual Meeting.  This year, two of the four winners were from Florida! Area 5 seeks to recognize exemplary service in the area of research from residents and fellows. These research projects stood out and were selected from over 70 abstracts. They were each awarded $300 for their effort and to congratulate them on their hard work.

"These RFMs have put a lot of work into their research that appropriately is recognized at the national APA level.  But Area 5 realized how important that these future leaders connect with the Area Council and through the Area Council they connect back with the DB which will be such an important support for their future work, whether they are lucky enough to find work in Area 5 or have to move to another part of the country.  The APA is all about making connections and these are valuable." Said Dr. Scott Benson, Area 5 Trustee.
