Human Trafficking Resources

Florida Human Trafficking Bill

The website linked above provides basic information about the Human Trafficking Bill, Chapter 2019-152, Laws of Florida, which addresses healthcare professionals licensed by the following Boards: Acupuncture, Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Chiropractic Medicine, Podiatric Medicine, Optometry, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing Home Administration, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Nutrition, Respiratory Care, Massage Therapy, and Physical Therapy. Healthcare professionals licensed by these Boards must complete one hour of continuing education (CE) on human trafficking and post a sign about human trafficking in their office by January 1, 2021.

Signs for Print

The Florida Department of Health has offered a sign that you can print which meets the requirements. There are also version that include Mandarin or Creole translations. You can find those here.

FPS has created a version of the poster that meets the size, font, and language requirements but has a different design and is more printer-friendly. You can download and print it here. This version is designed to be printed at 11x17 inches (ledger paper) which is the more common paper size for home printing that meets the size requirements. Please make sure you print it on paper that meets the 11x15 in minimum requirement.
