Tom and Donna Buchanan Grant Opportunity - Florida Psychiatric Society

The Tom and Donna Buchanan Grant mission is to introduce FPS Resident-Fellow Members to the Florida Psychiatric Society, to the Society’s goals, services and programs. This is a wonderful opportunity offered by the Florida Psychiatric Society Alliance.

In recognizing that funds are often tight during residency-fellowship, up to five FPS Resident-Fellow Members participating in a Florida residency/fellowship program may receive grants of $300 to attend a FPS CME Meeting & EXPO event. The money can be used to assist with the cost of the registration itself, as well as hotel and other travel costs.

These grants are also to foster interest in attending the Florida Psychiatric Society Council and CME meetings. Therefore, a stipulation of the Grant is that you attend specified activities while at the meeting which are indicated below:

One Friday Committee Meeting

FPS Friday Council and Business Meeting

Friday President’s Reception

Saturday FPS Reception/Dinner

Two CME Courses

We feel confident that your participation in these activities will be informative and worthwhile. If you cannot commit to attending the above, please do not apply for this grant. The number of grants is limited, and awarding of the grant will be dependent on your attendance. Only RFMs who have not previously received the grant will be eligible.
