Urgent update for eligible medical marijuana-prescribing physicians

Pursuant to Florida law, if you are currently an eligible medical marijuana-prescribing physician who did not take the new FMA Florida Physician Medical Marijuana Course on or after Sept. 28, beginning Dec. 27, you will not have access to the Medical Marijuana Use Registry regardless of all previous courses taken. Without access to the registry, you cannot order medical marijuana for your patients.

This new course addresses the most recent relevant laws and rules that govern physicians who intend to certify patient eligibility for medical marijuana in Florida. Physicians who previously qualified to order medical marijuana are required to take the new course by Dec. 26, 2017 to maintain Florida Department of Health approval as a qualified physician.

If you intend to continue ordering medical marijuana for patients, take the Florida Physician Medical Marijuana Course as soon as possible. Self-report your completion of the course to CE Broker to avoid a lapse in your access to the registry.
