HHS activates emergency drug program in Florida. The agency on Thursday announced that it had activated the Emergency Prescription Assistance Program to help thousands of uninsured Floridians. Under the program, residents whose prescription medicine was lost or damaged by Hurricane Michael can get no-cost replacements.

"I encourage citizens in Florida who can use this assistance to take advantage of it to ensure they have an adequate supply of the medicines they need," said Robert Kadlec, the assistant secretary for preparedness and response. More.
