Individual memberships with the Florida Psychiatric Society and the American Psychiatric Association are up for renewal on a calendar year basis. All members are strongly encouraged to renew by January 1st each year. However, the APA does grant a 90-day grace period starting January 1st, which allows you to renew without losing benefits or having to re-apply.
When you pay your dues, you are paying for your membership with BOTH the APA and FPS. Member dues for both are billed together through the APA's centralized dues billing and membership renewal processes.
